Persea gratissima oil
The Avocado (Persea americana) is a shrub species of fruit that belongs to the Lauraceae family. Originally from Mexico and Central America, the Avocado is extensively grown in all tropical areas. Thanks to its unique composition of fatty acids, responsible for the famous nourishing and restorative properties,Avocado oil has excellent eudermic and sebum-like characteristics, easily penetrating the skin and facilitating the absorption of other active ingredients. And thanks to the richness of the unsaponifiable fraction, it is used in the composition of a great many cosmetics intended for devitalised, dehydrated, rough and “dull” skin. The functional substances contained in the unsaponifiable fraction of avocado oil are, in fact, able to promote collagen synthesis by the dermal cells. All this results in effective skin renewal, with a consequent increase of moisture and elasticity in the skin.
Olea europea leaf extract
Olive oil has been used as a cosmetic and skin protector since ancient times. The ancient Egyptians used it as an active ingredient in creams and perfumes and it is said that the first anti-wrinkle cream was invented by Cleopatra. The Romans also used it as body oil after bathing, to keep skin elastic and soft. This use of oil and the plant extracts of Olea europaea has been consolidated and handed down to us today. Scientificc studies have shown the nourishing, protective effects on the skin, preventing the onset of atopic dermatitis, psoriasis, acne and eczema, thanks to its great affinity with epidermal lipids and the high content of essential fatty acids (omega-3 and omega-6) and squalene. Additionally, precisely due to itshigh antioxidant content, it protects against UV rays, acting to neutralise free radicals causing oxidative stress and encouraging the onset of damages to the hair structure.
Phalaenopsis amabilis is an species of Phalaenopsis. White orchid oil is very light weight, unlike most other oils it does not affect the hairs ability to perform when styling.
Orchis mascula extract
The early-purple orchid (Orchis mascula L.) is a plant belonging to the Orchidaceae family, widespread throughout Europe, from Portugal to the Caucasus, in North Africa and the Middle East, through to Iran. The decoctions of the orchid bulb were traditionally used by populations in ancient times to soothe inflammations or as an energy drink. A mysterious flower, surrounded by mystic aura and symbol of absolute beauty, the orchid has always represented the image of the woman and her perfection. From the leaves of this mysterious plant, we extract polyphenols and flavonoids for their antioxidant action, and from the bulb, we obtain moisturising, protective polysaccharides. This makes the plant extract a valid active ingredient in dermo-cosmetic products designed to emolliate, antiage and sooth, for moisturising, protective facial creams to leave skin toned and elastic.
